We are one of the only shops in Boise to offer data recovery for iPhones that have been dropped, liquid damaged, or have just stopped working. If your iPhone has another issue, we will very likely be able to recover the data from it. We do not offer recovery for phones that have been erased or restored at this time. The way the files are stored on current models makes recovery after deletion impossible with current tools.

We offer iPhone Data Recovery locally in Downtown Boise Idaho as well as nationwide through our mail-in service. We only charge our recovery fee if we are successful in recovering the data on your iPhone. So if we are not successful in getting the data back from your phone, there is no charge for the attempt!

iPhone Data Recovery Cost
We have 2 tiers for iPhone Data Recovery. When you drop off we will get your pre-approval for Tier 1 recovery. If the iPhone is not recoverable under Tier 1, we will then ask for your approval to move forward with Tier 2. We have found that about 80% of phones are recoverable under Tier 1 while 20% of phones require Tier 2.

$379 Tier 1
Tier 1 is for recoveries where chip replacement is not required on a board level. There are a select number of smaller board components that are covered under Tier 1, but the majority of board level chip replacements are considered a Tier 2 recovery. We have found that about 80% of iPhones are recoverable under our Tier 1 service. The normal turnaround time for this tier is 2-4 weeks.

$429 Tier 2
If the logic board on the device requires advanced chip replacement, it will be quoted at a Tier 2 recovery. We always contact you to receive approval before continuing with a Tier 2 recovery. Some chip replacements require that we send your logic board out to a lab for the chip to be replaced. In these cases the recovery can take around 4-6 weeks to complete.

Turnaround Time
The turnaround time on an iPhone data recovery can vary quite a bit depending on the damage the phone has sustained and where the shorts are located if present. We have been able to recover some iPhones in a few days, and others have taken almost a month as we had to wait for parts, ship the board out for a particular chip replacement, etc. An average iPhone data recovery project takes 10-20 business days, but again, it can be faster or longer depending on the recovery.

Types of Data Recovered
During the checkin we will ask what data is most important to you. We always attempt to recover the most important data first to maximize the chance of getting the data back that you care about. Once that important data is recovered we attempt to recover all recoverable data including a full iTunes backup of the phone. The iTunes backup is a complete encrypted backup of the data using iTunes so a new device can be restored from the backup and include all information.

Photos and Videos
Photos and Videos are the #1 requested data type during recovery. We can attempt to recover the data from the camera roll, and if photos and videos are located in another App, be sure to tell us what apps you use to store photos and videos so we can attempt to export those from the App to the camera roll for recovery.

Contacts
We attempt to recover the contacts from the device from the built in contacts manager during recovery. Usually contacts are synced online with iCloud, gmail, or similar syncing service. But if they are not in your case, we can attempt to recover them directly from the device. If you use another app for storing your contacts, be sure to tell us which one so we can attempt a recovery from that app.

Text Messages
Text messages are normally recoverable during the recovery process, but keep in mind the format of the data can be difficult to go through. If you need the text messages for legal reasons, the format will not matter as the data is all there… but if you were hoping to have an easy way of going through or replying to text messages after the recovery, the only way to have that be the case is by having us backup the entire device using iTunes during recovery and restoring a new device from that backup. Baring legal reasons, usually the most important part of the text messages are the attachments that are received. We are able to recover attachments to a separate folder so you can view and save any important attachments you received via text.

Other Data
If you have another type of data that you need recovered, just let us know! We can recover most types of data off the phone including voice memos created with the built in Voice Memo app, voicemails that have not been deleted from the phone, call logs including incoming and outgoing logs with date stamps, and more! Once we recover the most important kind of data you need, we always attempt to get a full encrypted backup of the phone so you can restore your new iPhone from that backup and have all the data possible.

No Deleted File Recovery Available
We are not able to recover data from iPhones where you can’t remember the passcode, have deleted files you need to get back, or restored the phone to factory settings. If a phone is disabled because of too many attempts, we are not able to recover the data. There are not currently tools available to recover data from an iPhone that has been erased or disabled that is newer than the iPhone 4 generation.
